By accessing or using CardLegit ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our Service.

2. Description of Service

CardLegit provides a platform for:

  • Reporting stolen trading cards to a global database
  • Verifying trading cards against reported thefts
  • Managing personal card collections
  • API access for business verification (paid plans)

3. User Accounts

To use certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
  • Be responsible for all activities under your account

4. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

  • Submit false or fraudulent theft reports
  • Use the Service to harass, defame, or harm others
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Use automated tools to scrape or collect data
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Interfere with the proper functioning of the Service

5. Theft Reports

When submitting a theft report, you represent that:

  • You are the rightful owner of the reported cards or authorized to report on their behalf
  • The information provided is accurate and truthful
  • You understand false reports may result in account termination and legal action

We reserve the right to remove reports that appear fraudulent or violate these terms.

6. Free vs. Paid Services

Basic verification and theft reporting services are free for individual users. Business API access requires a paid subscription. Pricing and features for paid plans are available on our website and may change with notice.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features and functionality are owned by CardLegit and are protected by international copyright, trademark and other intellectual property laws.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that:

  • The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
  • All theft reports are accurate or complete
  • Verification results are 100% reliable

CardLegit is a tool to assist in verification but should not be the sole basis for purchase decisions.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CardLegit shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the Service.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CardLegit and its affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violations of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of Spain. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Lleida, Catalonia, Spain.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
