What to Do if Your Cards Are Stolen and How to Report It

The first steps

Gather every piece of information you have

Photos, certification numbers, purchase receipts, screenshots of past listings. The better documented each card is, the easier it is to identify it and prove it's yours.

File a police report

Report it officially as soon as you can. You'll need the report number for insurance, for any claim, and as backup if the card shows up for sale.

Report it on CardLegit

Add your cards to the theft database. If someone tries to verify or resell them, there'll be a record that they were reported.

Alert the community and the marketplaces

Share the details in collector groups and keep an eye on platforms like eBay, Vinted, Wallapop or Cardmarket. Many cards are recovered because another collector recognizes them.
